Sutton Harbour Plymouth Classic Boat Rally 2008 - Programme

Friday 1st August 

Welcome and berthing in Sutton Harbour. The crew of Gypsy Mermaid will be on-hand to help you to your berth. Registration will take place on Gypsy Mermaid with welcome drinks.

1930: Reception and sponsored bar at the Marina Club. Food will be available to buy.

2000- Till late: Free live musical entertainment - Irish folk,

Saturday 2nd August

0930:  Judging commences and breakfast boxes arrive.

1200:   Hoisting of sails and sounding of fog horns

1300:  Live entertainment aboard Gypsy Mermaid, Prospect of Wight  

1930- Till late: Reception and sponsored bar at the Marina Club. Hot and cold buffet avaliable for skippers and crew (tickets purchased in advance). Free live jazz/blues/rock music entertainment provided by :

'One Point Five'

Sunday 3rd August

0930:  Judging continues.

1230:  Start of racing in the Sound.

1930:   Prize-giving in the Royal Plymouth Corinthian YC with sponsored bar

2030:   Hot and cold buffet (pay on the door) and free live jazz music by:

'Pennyroyal Jazz Band' 

Monday 4th August

AM:        Fleet departs for Torpoint.

1230:      Sponsored lunch

1500:     Afternoon racing

1830:     BBQ (tickets to be purchased in advance - £8/head approx)

2000:     Live entertainment in aid of the Cornwall Air Ambulance by Cornish male voice singers –

‘Halfway Harmony’

Tuesday 5th August:

Depart Torpoint to cruise up the Tamar to Weir Quay. Spend the day exploring this delightful beauty spot.

1900: Hot food provided by Weir Quay Sailing Club (£6/head approx). Free overnight moorings and water taxi. Free live music (those favourities lullabies) by:

'Gentlemen of Wight'

Wednesday 6th August:

Depart Weir Quay

1100:   Start of feeder race to Fowey from the Jennycliff Bay, Plymouth Sound.

2130:    Prize-giving in the Gallants.
