Notes on boat dimensions and sails

Mainsails, mizzens and topsails are measured on the sails, as also is a foresail on a schooner. The foretriangle however is measured from the foot of the mast at deck level, to the sheave of the highest working sail (i) and to the sheave of the jib outhaul or eye of the fitting for the furthest forward forestay setting (j). The actual headsails are not measured. LOA Measurements are ex- bowsprits or ex- bumkins. They are length on deck. If centreplate is fitted, then give draft with plate up. For Bermudan rigs please give B and H for mainmast.

Please give all measurements in traditional feet and tenths of a foot if possible.
